Leadership and Members

A board that consists of the following will govern ANDD.

• Current year host: Chair
• Previous year host: Co-chair
• Future year host: Vice -chair
• Board Members: the lead (chair) of each task force.

Secretariat: ESCWA will provide secretariat support for the network during the first two years (2021-2023), with the understanding that this role with possible hand over to member institutions on a rotational basis once the network is established and fully operational.

Given its intensive experience with similar global activities, ACUNS will provide capacity-building support, advice, lessons learned, access to its global network, and help with administration, communications, and other organizational activities.

Membership:

The members of ANDD fall within the below two categories:

• Institutional members: this category includes a diverse range of universities, research centers, think tanks, Non-Governmental Organizations, public administration institutes, and related organizations in the Arab region and worldwide. Each organizational member is invited to designate a focal point for the organizational decision-making process and nominate other individual members.
• Individual members: This category includes scholars who belong to a member institution from diverse fields of study and practices, including international relations and international humanitarian law, trade and development, human rights, humanitarian medicine, cultural studies, media, technology, gender studies, urban development, and others. These members are not considered focal points representing Institutional members and also do not engage in ANDD decision making processes. Individual members cannot be leader of task forces
